Blues Odyssey

I wrote a blues inspired sci fi story called Odyssey In Black And Blue awhile back and I've got the first volume of a planned trilogy that adapts it into graphic novel form.  I had the fortune of working with artist Ellis Ray III to pull the 30 page story off.  I will be releasing bits and pieces here and hopefully have it up for full consumption soon.  The adventure begins in a blues dive bar where it just so happens my song So Hard Done By also makes an appearance:

Grit.

After a brief hiatus, I'm back to the blog.  In that time I decided to cut a blues record called Grit.  I had the fortune of working with the maniacally talented Johnny Azari, with help from a beautiful and world class violist who turned herself into a fiddler in a few hours, to create a work of art that let me bear my soul in a way I had never done before.  It was an experience I will never forget.  It put me on the frontier of existence and creation like nothing before.  It was a badass time for badasses.
